lyrics
Exquisite corpses hang transfixed under fading amber rays
And parish flies with famine eyes find they've nothing left to say
Your father rode to Ragnarok with bloody hands in bleak repose
No glory crowns his hallowed brow as the jaws of Heaven close
Chimera kings, laid bare before eviscerated thrones
Seize predatory vacancies in the marrow of your bones
Distilled in silver cruciform with broken alabaster tongues
They bind the silent witness and drain conviction from their lungs
In this mutilated testament
Blunt trauma breaks the instrument
And all I want to know
Is where we go from here
To filter out the dissonance
Make sense of shattered innocence
All I want to know
Is where we go
A skeletal inheritance, profane and polished acid white
Dances out of reach, ahead of me inside my dreams tonight
No prize for Eden's bastard children, all that remains to do is try
To find the meaning in the misdirect and the light where shadows lie
In this mutilated testament
Blunt trauma breaks the instrument
And all I want to know
Is where we go from here
To filter out the dissonance
Make sense of shattered innocence
All I want to know
Is where we go

Soothfully a phenomenal prog rock album—an instant classic. What motivates me to say so, is the music’s incredible expressiveness & its wonderfully cinematic song structures. Jargon is a very good fit with this band. It is quite evident that the band’s current lineup have great chemistry together & that they share a common affinity to this vein of music. I look forward to their next creation. Drifting Sun are definitely one of prog rock’s brightest lights. Thank you, DS!

Wow! What a great album. Lots of great songs and great production. Some impressive guests as well like Jon Davison and Billy Sherwood of Yes. This album should be in every prog rock lovers collection. marcusalmightygemineye
