You can throw your stone to guard that fragile pride.
You can split the world into a multitude of sides.
But when reality comes crashing through your kingdom,
What will you do, and will you like what you've become?

Why should we fight to raise the wall between each other?
We can't afford to shut the door and run for cover.
There's so much to live, and learn, and love from one another.
And the world is full of vivid color.

You can lock your soul inside a velvet cage,
Soft, and safe, and starving - maddening with age.
You can cut the cord and leave it all behind,
Communing with the shadows in your mind.
You can lash out at the heretics and fools,
Wave your weapon and beat your book of rules.
But when the words you missed in there come bleeding into life,
Will your frail foundation survive?
