lyrics
Soft hearts don’t remain very long.
Sharp minds don’t stay sane very long.
And all the wide-eyed wonder in the world won’t be enough
To help me find the silver lining in the rain very long.
Heroes don’t prevail very long.
Kind winds don’t fill the sails very long.
And when this hellish forest highway diverges into unmarked paths,
It’s hard to hold the tried, and true, and tested trail very long.
But there are moments, bright and incorruptible,
Where the promise of a better world flashes in an innocent eye.
There are moments - there’s something indestructible.
It hangs like a brazen, grand banner under a clearing sky.
Once in a while, on the crest of a crashing wave,
I can see the storm cloud’s edge, and almost reach out and touch
The crimson clouds on the edge of evening.
Wow! What a great album. Lots of great songs and great production. Some impressive guests as well like Jon Davison and Billy Sherwood of Yes. This album should be in every prog rock lovers collection. marcusalmightygemineye
Fantasy progressive rock is not something I'd ever thought of. Yet Foreign Land, especially the Foreign Land track itself, transported me straight into an unknown, magical fantasy world. Hakim Zulkufli
Soothfully a phenomenal prog rock album—an instant classic. What motivates me to say so, is the music’s incredible expressiveness & its wonderfully cinematic song structures. Jargon is a very good fit with this band. It is quite evident that the band’s current lineup have great chemistry together & that they share a common affinity to this vein of music. I look forward to their next creation. Drifting Sun are definitely one of prog rock’s brightest lights. Thank you, DS!
